Lighthouse is Kia’s extremely harrowing story of her time working and living in NYC as a singer, dancer, and actor and how she became embroiled in a very mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive relationship.

Kia's book is a raw and honest account of what she went through and how she ultimately survived. She educates us about the warning signs of these kinds of abusive relationships. They can often take on a typical pattern and involve things like love bombing, triangulation, and gaslighting. Emotional abuse can often begin subtly, and the more we are able to spot these warning signs, the more empowered we become in our everyday lives and interpersonal relationships.
